چکیده
Abstract A tensile test program of Moso bamboo samples was carried out in order to obtain information on the radial distribution elastic and strength properties. In accordance with previous studies, modulus were found increase outwards direction. This spatial dependence compared fibre content layers excellent correlation suggesting that fibres are main load bearing components. The quantified using regression analysis direction as 0.1 (inner layer), 0.19 (middle-1 0.28 (middle-2 layer) 0.44 (outer layer). Rule Mixture theory allowed estimation individual components, parenchyma matrix. Article Highlights Radial across culm wall stiffness properties obtained from parallel compared. analysed image software. failure mechanisms identified depend content.

Tensile Strength Analysis of bamboo and Layered Laminate Bamboo composites
Tensile properties of bamboo laminae, prepared from bamboo slivers, selected from different regions of bamboo culms (Dendrocalamus strictus), increases from inner to outer region for any cross section and the same is experienced from bottom to top. Application of rule of mixture, on linear regression line drawn from test results, show that fiber strength increases and matrix strength decreases ...
متن کاملModified Weibull Distribution for Analyzing the Tensile Strength of Bamboo Fibers
There is growing evidence that the standard Weibull strength distribution is not always accurate for the description of variability in tensile strength and its dependence on the gauge size of brittle fibers. In this work, a modified Weibull model by incorporating the diameter variation of bamboo fiber is proposed to investigate the effect of fiber length and diameter on the tensile strength. Fi...
متن کاملModelling Paper Tensile Strength from the Stress Distribution along Fibres in a Loaded Network
This paper describes a new method for modelling paper strength and elastic properties by analysing the force distribution along single half fibres in the network. Paper mechanical properties are modelled from the point of view of single fibres of interest. Each half fibre of interest is in contact with i other crossing fibres, which connect to the network. A strain, ε , is applied to the networ...
متن کاملVariation of Tensile Properties of Single Fibres of Dendrocalamus farinosus Bamboo
This study investigated the mechanical behavior and the variation of Dendrocalamus farinosus single fibres, which were isolated from fibre bundles using a chemical method. A micro-tester was applied to determine the influence of the age of the bamboo sampled, as well as the longitudinal and radial positions, on three indicators featuring tensile properties at the fibre level. The results indica...
متن کاملEffects of Hair Follicle Stem Cells on Partial-Thickness Burn Wound Healing and Tensile Strength
Background: The recent improvements in wound healing have led to new strategies in regenerative medicine. Burn wound healing is an important issue in skin regeneration and has multiple indications for stem cell therapy. Hair follicle stem cells (HFSCs) are a highly promising source of stem cells for healing use, as these cells are accessible, active and pluripotent adult stem cells. Methods: HF...
